That’s why we are extremely pleased to announce that we have become the official sponsor of Andrzej Wereszczak, an ultrarunner who has become a NordicTrack brand ambassador.

Andrzej Wereszczak is a figure who needs no introduction in the running community. Anyone interested in long-distance running knows who he is and that it’s best not to stand on the starting line with him.

Andrzej’s running journey began very… simply. He didn’t dream of becoming one of the best marathon runners in Poland. He simply wanted to change his lifestyle to a healthier one, find a new hobby, and get his body moving. He planned to run recreationally in the woods from time to time. Without any specialized equipment, no watch, no pedometer, no heart rate monitor. He quickly discovered where and how he ran best – on flat ground. Over time, he noticed that slow and far was better for him than fast and close – he wasn’t comfortable with short-distance speed runs. And so – by increasing the distance and frequency of his training – he discovered what he loved.

He didn’t compete in his first race until nearly five years after starting training. First, a half marathon, then a marathon, his first achievements, and inspiration from other runners.
and a growing confidence in his abilities. Initially, he began participating in larger events, not, as he puts it, “for personal bests and records,” but for the joy that running gave him. Now, he admits, the numbers are a kind of driving force.

Thus was born the Ultrarunner, gaining increasing recognition at major international events. Among his greatest achievements are the Spartathlon Greece 2017 (246 km), 1st place in the Ultrabalaton Hungary (221 km), 1st place in the 24-hour race, and 2nd in the 100-mile race. Finally, we must say that Andrzej Wereszczak surprised everyone, and above all himself, with a run at the end of 2018. A run he decided to undertake suddenly and spontaneously. A great race, one that for some is only a dream. The Phidippides Run 490 kilometers. Second place.

We’re very happy to be working with Andrzej because, in addition to being a great athlete, we also connect with his approach to sports. We hope that, in addition to outdoor training, his NordicTrack treadmill training will help him in his running career and that we’ll be able to contribute, even if just a little, to his future victories, which we wholeheartedly wish him.

In May 2019, Andrzej Wereszczak will attempt to break the Polish Record in a 6-day race. A 144-hour run seems impossible to us. He wants to be the best. We’ll be sharing preparations and training reports on our social media and website. We hope you’ll join us in following the journey to this important event and, above all, keep your fingers crossed for us!
