Bacha Sport is honored and pleased to support the Stars Tournament – Friends of the Henryk Bałuszyński Orphanage, organized annually by the Orphanage No. 2 in Gliwice and its Football Club.
He died prematurely, an excellent footballer Górnik Zabrze and the Polish national team – Henryk Bałuszyński remains in grateful memory and a passion for football. He always tried to help children. For many years he was a great friend of the children in the Children’s Home.
The competition is an opportunity to appreciate him and remember him as an excellent footballer and a great person.
The tournament features Polish representatives and well-known top-league footballers. The event takes place on Footballer’s Day, celebrated in Poland to commemorate the gold medal won by coach Kazimierz Górski’s team at the 1972 Munich Olympics..
In recent years, the tournaments have been attended by, among others, Adrian Sikora, Tomasz Hajto, Dariusz Dudek, Jerzy Dudek, Piotr Świerczewski, Piotr Rocki, Klaudiusz Sevkovic, Dariusz Koseła, Wojciech Grzyb, Jacek Wiśniewski, Roman Kosecki, Jan Furtok, Andrzej Szarmach, Krzysztof Bukalski, Arkadiusz Baran, Józef Dankowski, Marek Majka, Marek Piotrowicz, Andrzej Orzeszek, Marcin Bojarski, Jan Domarski, Marek Kusto, Michał Probierz. The teams competing on the pitch included Piast Gliwice, Górnik Zabrze, GKS Katowice, Legia Warsaw, the Polish National Futsal Team, the Polish Futsal Champions PA Nova Gliwice and Hurtap Łęczyca, Wisła Krakbet Kraków and Orły Górskiego..
Many friends of Children’s Home No. 2 in Gliwice and Henryk Bałuszyński’s family were in attendance at the 12th All-Star Tournament: Andrzej Orzeszek, Piotr Gierczak, Janusz Bodzioch, Adam Kryger, and Witold Czekański. Eight teams participated in the event: Piast Gliwice, Friends of Heniek Bałuszyński, Gliwice Futsal Academy (newcomers to the Indoor Ekstraklasa), Ruch Chorzów, Górnik Zabrze, Gwiazda Chudów, and two teams of children from Children’s Home No. 2 in Gliwice.. The winner was the Piast Gliwice team, which defeated the Friends of Heniek Bałuszyński team 11:7 in the final.
The tournament was full of fun, and the real hit was the youngest footballers from Children’s Home No. 2 in Gliwice, who set the bar high for their older colleagues. Ten-year-old Rafał Kowalczyk, a student of Children’s Home No. 2, proudly displayed the trophy his team had won. “I managed to nod a few players; I wasn’t afraid of them at all,” boasts Rafał..
