We join the action “Day without litter”

Bacha Sport, believing in such noble goals as protection of our natural environment and segregation of waste, joins once again to promote a campaign, which is an element of a program co-financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, entitled “Sorting waste it pays off.”

Don’t leave a trace! – This is the slogan of the seventh edition of the campaign organized by Rekopol Organizacja Odwarzku S.A., the aim of which is to draw attention to the problem of increasing amount of waste and promote selective collection and recycling.

Everyone is responsible for the waste they have produced. Each of us produces 300 kg of waste annually – we produce about 12 million tons of waste annually from which only 5% is collected selectively, and ¼ of them are packaging waste that can be subjected to recycling. In Germany, about 90% are collected selectively.

Segregation at source, i.e. in the place where waste is generated, is the key to conducting proper packaging waste management. The individual action of each of us gives a common effect in the form of efficient recycling and a clean environment. The most important goal is that the selected waste should be returned to circulation and become a raw material for the production of new things – jars, bags, fleeces, newspapers, cans and many other everyday things. The moment is special – in two months a new law on maintaining cleanliness and order in municipalities will come into force, the aim of which is to increase the levels of recycling and recovery throughout the country. Each of us will be able to contribute to this by segregating waste at home!

• Only 15% of the annual production of PET bottles is recycled in Poland,
• A statistical Pole uses more than 60 kg of paper annually, while he collects about 22 kg per year,
• glass waste can be 100% recovered and used,
• Glass recycling can be carried out unlimited times, processing of 1 tons of glass can be reduced: energy consumption by 25-32%, water consumption by 50%, air pollutant emissions by 14-20%, amount of industrial waste by 97%.

On a day without littering Thousands of posters, leaflets, inserts and stickers are not produced. There is only an internet card that, when clicked, will redirect to a specially created page www.dzienbezsmienia.pl.
