Grubba Polish Champions

This year Grubba Polish Champions – Table Tennis Champions Tournament provided plenty of excitement and was a true celebration of table tennis in Poland. This was due to the unusual setting of a shopping center, where ping-pong tables were surrounded by stands that could accommodate several hundred people and where world-class stars performed – Jean-Michel Saive, Jorgen Persson, Lucjan Błaszczyk and Daniel Górak. All this was done with the aim of commemorating the figure Andrzej Grubba – the best Polish table tennis player in history.

For the first time, the youngest players could also participate in an event of this size. Friday, the opening day, was set aside for the tennis schools’ competition. The best team was Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki, whose rivals in the final were representatives of the team Dekorglassu Działdowo. The best individual players had the opportunity to perform at Sunday’s Tournament of Champions in front of an audience gathered in the shopping center, as well as in front of televisions, as the finals could be followed via live television coverage.
