This year’s edition has the slogan: I’ve been recycled!

Each of us produces 300 kg of waste annually – we produce about 12 million tons of waste annually from which only 5% is collected selectively, and ¼ of them are packaging waste that can be subjected to recycling. In Germany, about 90% are collected selectively.

This year, the organizers of the campaign want to draw attention not only to the essence of selective collection, but above all to the “second life of waste”, that is, what they can be reused for, which is made as a result of the recycling process.

They emphasize that each segregated waste gets a new life, and we save raw materials. “Not litter” is impossible – the waste will be produced always and everywhere – it must be done in such a way that as many raw materials as possible can be reused.

Did you know that:

• From 35 recycled PET bottles you can produce a fleece
• Polypropylene packaging in the states is used in the production of jeans,
• Only 15% of the annual production of PET bottles is recycled in Poland,
• A statistical Pole uses more than 60 kg of paper annually, while he collects about 22 kg per year,
• glass waste can be 100% recovered and used,
• Glass recycling can be carried out unlimited times, processing of 1 tons of glass can be reduced: energy consumption by 25-32%, water consumption by 50%, air pollutant emissions by 14-20%, amount of industrial waste by 97%.

On a daily basis, at Bacha Sport, we not only follow the sports idea of Fair Play, but also take care of the environment in the vicinity of our company, including segregating rubbish, saving electricity or limiting paper correspondence. We know very well that such seemingly small steps bring tangible benefits and we are proud of it.
