14th Henryk Bałuszyński Tournament of Stars

On Sunday, March 8, 2015, the 14th edition of the Henryk Bałuszyński Tournament of Stars. The tournament was organized by Dom Children’s Hospital No. 3 in Gliwice.

On Sunday, March 8, 2015, the 14th edition of the Henryk Bałuszyński Tournament of Stars. The tournament was organized by Dom Children’s Hospital No. 3 in Gliwice.

The tournament was held for the first time at the Sośnica Sports and Entertainment Hall in Gliwice. The winner was the Old Boys team from Górnik Zabrze, which defeated the Friends of Orphanage No. 3 team in the final. The final result had to be decided by penalty kicks.

Twelve teams participated in the tournament. Famous figures from Polish football and futsal appeared on the pitch, including representatives of Górnik Zabrze, Piast Gliwice and Oldbojów Śląska. Kamil Kosowski and Bartosz, among others, took part in the competition Karwan, who not so long ago played for the Polish national team. Łukasz also played for the Friends of Orphanage No. 3 team. Bałuszyński, son of Henryk Bałuszyński, who died three years ago.

Even though the tournament was purely charity, it was accompanied by great sporting excitement. There was also no shortage of interesting and spectacular moves. Each participant clearly cared about the final success, which translated into great efforts from the players during the game.
